Well... it's been said time and again, you can't win them all --- but there are certainly some you should win and this weeks game against the Jacksonville Jaguars was definitely one of them.

We here at DawgWARDens love our Browns day in and day out but we callz it like we seez it and with that in mind, I have to say they didn't deserve to win yesterday. When a team scores just ten points on six turnovers, even the truest of fans will be left shaking their heads. We were missing our man Josh on offense but come on people - one man does not a team make! Our boys need to step up and get the job done even - and especially - when a comrade is down.

When the defense gets the ball back and hands it to the offense, the offense has to put points on the board. No excuses.

Along with the much deserved recognition our beast Hillis has received in both local and national media, our opponents have taken notice of him as well and their defenses are going to be ready for him. We've seen our playbook dusted off and ramped up in the last few weeks, we've seen exciting and at times unpredictable foot ball and it's been fun to watch again.

On many levels, yesterday was simply not fun.
With swirling winds and long kicks, it's tough to be mad at Phil Dawson for missing the field goal attempts but again - with that many turnovers in one game, it shouldn't come down to a do-or-die field goal attempt. With that many turnovers, the outcome of the game shouldn't rest on the kickers toe. And if we can't turn every turnover into a touchdown, so be it. But the points we do put up from them shouldn't determine whether or not we win, they should determine by how much we win.

On the plus side... I still like the drive I see in Colt McCoy. The kid plays tough and determined. But now he's joined Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace, fashioning an all-too-familiar walking boot as a result of what may be another dreaded "high ankle sprain". So put your quarter in the QB claw machine and let's see who is chosen to lead the team against the next cats in line... the Carolina Panthers. If the response to Colt's injury yesterday had Wallace warming up, we know where the claw is positioning itself.

The question is, will the one chosen be ready to bring home the prize.

In the Dawg House this week: The Offense.
The O-line didn't protect and Colt struggled.
