Some women long
For diamonds and gold
Some wish for riches
Lavish and bold

Others are more simple
With a different look at life  
Seeking out more common things
To make them smile & ease their strife

I, my friends, am of the latter
Requiring only simple things
Seeking out small pleasures
And the joy they tend to bring

So while I admit, a week ago
I refused to spend my cash
On an outfit I'd wear maybe once
To my girlfriends bachelorette bash

I reached into my purse last night
And splurged on something new
It was something that I had to have
It was something I had to do

So you might think I'm off my nut
And you might find my taste suspicious
But I'm oh-so-happy to report
I now own a jersey of Joe Jurevicius!!! 

And so I'm ready for my party now
I have the perfect attire
I'll keep it & wear it every week
At least until Big Joe retires

When I told my beloved my plan to own
This Jurevicius jersey divine
He smiled and said he loved me so
Then (and I quote) he added, "I'm awfully glad you're mine"

So never let it be said
To be happy, you need it all
Sometimes you just need simple things
Like the love for Browns football!!
